Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Park features a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility which opened in April 2008. Sunset Funeral Home sits on the property’s highest hilltop—a truly inspirational setting overlooking the surrounding countryside. Sunset Funeral Home is the only funeral home located in a cemetery in the Tri-State area. We also feature a convenient Community Room for catered after funeral meals and family gatherings. We offer a full catering menu for your convenience.
Sunset Memorial Park was developed in 1950. Evansville was expanding at a rapid pace during this time. Sitting on 107 acres, Sunset conducts about 350 burials each year. Beautiful garden-inspired sections, landscaping, trees and hedges offering many ground burial options. Choose from family estate lots, multiple space lots and single grave spaces. Depending on the needs of the family, there are many areas throughout the cemetery from which to choose.
Sunset Mausoleums: Sunset features four mausoleums and 432 crypt spaces. The first mausoleum was completed in the mid-1980s and contains the Resurrection Chapel and Shepherd Chapel. Featuring a beautiful view of the lake, it overlooks both the Tranquility and Serenity outdoor mausoleums. Sunset’s newest mausoleum, the Chapel of Peace, was completed in 2005 and offers a picturesque view of the fountain and lake.
